Both of Birch’s mattresses are hybrid designs with individually wrapped steel coils in the base and natural and organic comfort layers on the top. This hybrid design provides long-lasting durability and support while maximizing airflow and breathability. Their responsive latex offers a medium-firm sleep surface that cradles your body and helps you sleep more on the surface of the mattress, so you sink in less.

Two Birch Mattresses:

Birch Natural Mattress: This 11-inch mattress is made with 8 inches of individually wrapped steel coils that are reinforced on two sides to provide excellent edge support and sleep safety. The mattress is then topped with two inches of 100 percent natural Talalay latex and one inch of organic wool before being covered with a layer of organic cotton. 

Birch Luxe Natural Mattress: Built with a similar design to the Birch Natural—but with a few additional key features and upgrades, this luxe design includes a higher coil count, complete perimeter reinforced support, and zoned lumbar support. These three features allow for greater durability, superior edge support, and proper neutral spine alignment.

This mattress includes two-times the comfort layers with two inches of 100 percent natural Talalay latex and two inches of organic wool comfort layers. A luxurious finishing top layer of organic cashmere adds breathability, moisture-wicking, and comfort. The Matelassé finished Euro Top cover is made from organic cotton.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commision requires that all mattresses contain fire retardants, and most mattress manufacturers comply by using the cheapest fire retardants they can find, typically a cocktail of chemicals that are potentially toxic to humans.

Birch mattresses are designed to meet the sleep needs and preferences of every sleeper—but if for any reason, you would like to return a Birch mattress, you have a full 100 nights from the date of delivery to adjust to your new mattress before deciding whether or not to make the return.
Every Birch product, with the exception of the Adjustable Base, comes with a 100 night trial period and is fully refundable. Returns are completely free, and the Birch team works hard to donate or recycle any returned products.

Manufacturer’s Warranty

Birch mattresses come with a 25-year limited manufacturer’s warranty, which includes full coverage of the mattress against defects in years 1-10 and prorated coverage in years 11-25. Birch also offers a 10-year warranty on its Plush Organic Mattress Topper and a 1-year warranty on its bedding and sleep accessories. Birch Wood Frames include a 5-year warranty and the remote-powered Adjustable Base comes with a 20-year limited warranty.
